Marching with Purpose: The Misfits Take on March for March
This month, our team — proudly known as The Misfits — is lacing up our boots, donning our hi‑viz, and taking on the March for March challenge around the DFC. What started as a light‑hearted idea quickly turned into something much bigger: a chance for us to come together, have fun, and raise money for a cause that genuinely matters.
We’re walking to support Combat Stress, a charity dedicated to helping former service personnel struggling with their mental health. Their work changes lives, and we’re determined to contribute to that positive impact, one lap at a time.
But if you know The Misfits, you already know we don’t do anything quietly. Expect laughter, friendly competition, questionable singing, and plenty of encouragement as we clock up the miles. Each lap around the DFC is a reminder that teamwork doesn’t just happen inside our building — it comes to life in moments like this, when we show up for something bigger than ourselves.
This challenge is more than a fundraiser. It’s a celebration of who we are: a group of individuals who bring different strengths, different personalities, and a shared drive to do good. The fun, the camaraderie, and the sense of purpose are what make The Misfits… well, The Misfits.
We’ll keep everyone updated as we march our way through the month — and if you see us out there, give us a wave, a cheer, or even join in for a lap or two.
Together, we’re stepping forward, lifting each other up, and supporting a charity that changes lives.
Here’s to March for March, and here’s to The Misfits — marching with purpose and having a blast while doing it.
Support my March in March
This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
