The reason why…
For those of you who don’t know, I served in the British Army for 17 years. I left due to personal reasons, but the truth is, a part of me never left. The Army shapes you, it becomes part of who you are, and that never fades.
I know first-hand how hard life can be when the uniform comes off. Too many veterans find themselves struggling in silence, fighting battles long after their service has ended. I want to help those who have hit hard times but are showing real courage by taking steps to turn their lives around and ask for support.
No one who served our country should feel forgotten or alone. If you’re able to donate anything towards this goal, I would be deeply grateful. Every single contribution helps give a veteran hope, dignity, and the reminder that they are not forgotten about.
I’ll be taking on this challenge with a 20kg rucksack — the same weight used in one of my mandatory tests.
Hit my fundraising target before 1st March, and I’ll raise that to 30kg.
I will be completing 50 miles throughout March.
I’ll be sharing photos and videos throughout so you can follow the journey and see the challenge as it unfolds.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for any support you can give.
Support my March in March
This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
