Two Old Blokes

Support our March in March

This year we will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans. With a combined age of 140 between the two of us, we are going to drag our weary old bodies 20 miles to raise funds for Combat Stress.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I (Dave) don't want the younger generation of personnel leaving the forces to end up like me - A COMPLETE BASKET CASE!

When I left the army after 12 years in the mid/late 1980's there was no support - there was no recognised PTSD (in the UK anyway). It was not until the late 90's that my fantastic new wife persuaded me to get my wallet out to pay for two visits a week to a psychiatrist. It took another 20 years for me to get anywhere near being able to understanding my condition and start to take steps to control my anger. Please - help us to help others.

Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
