March for veterans

I’ve decided to do the March in March to raise money for vets with mental health.
Why this charity and not one of the main stream mental health charity’s I hear you ask.
Well it’s simple. Vets are made different. As a soldier you are not to show weakness. You are trained to withstand more than most. Yet we had a support system in place. Our fellow soldiers. They understood what you are going through and a few beers or a Micky taking session to desensitised the situation was enough.
But when you leave no one gets you. Trying to talk to someone that has no life experience in a soldiers life doesn’t help. You just get told you have ptsd and get anti depressants.
Soldiers can’t talk to civies in the same way.
So we bottle it. Turn to booze, drugs, live off the grid, or just suffer in silence.
This charity gets this. Still many exservice personal are unaware of it. So not only do I want to raise money for it but raise awareness too.
Help the hero’s is more for soldiers that have been injured than mental health.
Plus the more charities there are to help the better!
These vets served you and your country, all they ask is for is a small donation to say thanks.
I thank you too, as I am a vet who’s had his demons too.
If you can’t spare some change please forward this to others that may. Thank you

Support my March in March for vetrans with mental health issues

This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

As a veteran myself I have seen what this has done to people. Also having suffered too from my own demons, I feel this a massively under funded and unknown charity. So I am not only raising money but awareness too.

Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
