24.03.26 March in March Combat Stress Day 2

Today I was extremely lucky to have one of my closest friends, Chris Emmett, join me on this challenge. Without Chris I don't think I would have complete the task today. It seemed around every corner there was another hill.              Monday 30th March marks a year since I had a cardiac arrest, since October I seemed to have plateaued. Knowing at this stage of my recovery, a 10 mile hike would be just out of reach for me, I was delighted when Lex, Jo and Molly agreed I could complete the challenge over two, three or four days.                                                                                  A special thank you to everyone who sponsored me, knowing my current limitations, I really appreciate you taking the time to donate to this incredibly important charity.                                                                                        It also has to be acknowledge that everyone who serves in the armed forces are, in my book a "hero".  All my sponsors and myself are forever indebted to you for your service. If you are hurting, we hope our small contribution may give you at least, some respite.                                                      Thank you for all you have given.

24.03.26 March in March Combat Stress Day 1

My first effort at 5 miles, needed a few stops to catch my breath, but got there in the end. Left home at 12:14hrs, arrived home at 15:27hrs, I'm absolutely knackered but enjoyed pushing to achieve my target for today.
As you can see below, I have had 3 days of battle with Long Covid Fatigue and man flu, which made today a tougher challenge than I had hoped.
My great friend Chris Emmett is making sure I complete 5 miles plus tomorrow, he will ensure I complete the challenge in two days......what has he let himself in for?

Support my March in March

This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
