Support my March in March

This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support and together we march!

Week 2 day 1

Wednesday 24th Jan
A run on my own today and I managed to run a lot more than walking. I carried roughly 2-3lb on back so just took my time and slowly got to the end and still in good time. Really pleased with today’s progress.

Week 1 day 2

Saturday 20th Jan
So after sorting the potential route on Monday just gone.
It was onto stage 2 and we ran and walked the potential route unless it changes to a potentially now finishing location. But once I know I’ll post on here.

So today the aches and pains and blisters are appearing but the fight through will preve beneficial in the long term and goes towards the end results.

Now time to relax and prepare for Monday.

Here’s just a rough idea what it costs to help and support a veteran/s. Your donation however small or what you can afford will go straight to combat stress and will be gratefully received.

£27 could fund a veteran's call to our 24-hour helpline

£38 could allow a peer recovery worker to give a 1:1 support session to a fellow veteran during treatment.

£112 could pay fo a veteran to have an appointment with a pychological therapist

£240 could fund a group Peer Support meeting so veterans can receive support and understanding from others who've walked a similar path.

£510 could enable a veteran with PTSD to recognise, understand and use their emotions to live the life they want in our 'Master your Emoitions' programme.

I am doing this to raise funds for veterans like myself who suffer with mental health. As little or as much is grateful received. This is a charity I know and know how much they go above and beyond to help veterans.

This is a charity close to my heart ❤️
