The Home Straight

Thank you again to everyone who has been kind enough to donate, every donation is hugely welcomed and appreciated. Your efforts will go a long way to helping Veterans in need.

We find ourselves already in February and starting the 1st March in the eyes! We have £125 or so to go in order to hit our Target of £1000, which, for me personally, would be a huge goal achieved.

This is the first fundraising, charity event I have undertaken since I was at school raising money for the NSPCC, if you recall in those little blue charity boxes. To hit the £1000 mark (or dare I say exceed it ) would be amazing, and a great start to 2025 for not only my Team but also the Veterans who will benefit.

Please consider donating if you can, feel free to donate again - Veterans give everything for our freedoms, their families cope with a lot from constantly moving, supporting one another, we all need help sometimes.

For the price of a Maccers or a Starbucks you can rest easy knowing you have done your bit to help a Veteran in need.

Thank you all again,

All the best,

Chris

The Date is Set

Firstly a big thanks to everyone that has taken the time and generously donated to our March in March, it is very kind of you and greatly appreciated.

Secondly, the date is now set, 1st March 2025, the route is being finalised but we will be finishing at The Farmers Dog pub for a well earned lunch, and to wet the whistle post yomp!

Lastly but, by no means least, we have a Team addition by way of Aunty Julie. They say good things come in small packages - Julie 'The Pocket Rocket' Duffield will be coming in clutch adding some motivation, team spirit, and hopefully taking charge of the en route refreshments lol! Already raising over £50 she is going well on her fundraising journey!

Thanks again to everyone who has supported us in our £1000 goal, and to those that haven't please do, even just £1 will all add up and go a long way to help our Veterans in need.

Take care

There's not to reason why...

In the grand scheme of things 10miles is a small milestone. Nevertheless a small group of us, family and friends, felt that this small endeavour could go a long way to help our service men and women in their time of need.

My cousin, Alice, is in the RAF, training to be a nurse, making her Family very proud in the process. We cannot be there to support her once she deploys apart from sending her love, support and the occasional care package - but we can give some time and effort to, in some small way, show we are there for her and all the members of our Armed Services.

We hope that with your support, our small effort on the day, and possibly a lovely lunch at the Farmers Dog at the end of our March in March, we can donate a sum that will make an impact for those that need it the most, showing our gratitude for their sacrifice and service.

We will be bringing Rollo along for moral support and on the off chance someone needs dragging to the finish line, so if you donate don't forget that extra few pounds for his input also :-)

Support our March in March

This year we will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

We are taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
