My 1st Marathon

I am lucky enough to be running the London marathon 2025 for combat stress, a charity very close to my heart. 

Combat Stress is the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health.  For over a century they have been helping former servicemen and women deal with issues like post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety and depression. They provide specialist treatment and support for veterans from every service and conflict, focusing on those with complex mental health issues.

I try to run weekly but have never run anywhere close to the distance of a marathon. It is going to be a huge challenge for me but this charity means so much to me and knowing the difference I can make will motivate me through all the training and on race day. 

I am excited to get started and appreciate all the help and support I can get.
