Why I’m doing this event
Last year my Army Veteran husband Neil found himself reaching out to Combat Stress for help, 28 years after leaving the Army.
While Neil was going through the Victor intensive therapy program I was also offered help from the peer family support with Combat Stress.
This was invaluable and it was a massive help to me to share my worries and concerns but it was also a way for me to be able to learn and understand what Neil was going through so that I was able to give him the love and support he much needed whilst going through therapy.
I can’t thank the team at combat stress enough who have looked after us both, they still do and are always there if we need them.
We are both now in a much better place and one way for me to say thank you is to try and raise some very much needed vital funds so that it will be able to help others veterans and their families receive the help and support they very much deserve. Without it I don’t know what we would have done.
So I will be taking part in the March in March challenge which is to walk 10 miles in March for Combat Stress, it certainly will be a challenge for me and the first time that I have done such a distance all in one go.
If you would like to make a small donation it will be very much appreciated and will go a long way.
Thank you all, it means a lot.
Well done my darling, thank you. You will smash this!! xx
