Ankle Really Bad But Thank God For Hiking Poles
Walked 3 miles today, getting close to completing the 20 mile goal I set. Better weather.Challenge is going really well :)
Had some challenges, had to buy support bracelet for my ankle due running injury atleast I think thats what wrong but not entirely sure. Really upset about this because I super motivated to get this 20 miles of running done, not giving up the ankle pain seems psychological which is strange but Ive managed 3 miles so far, I would like different scenery but despite the fatigue its going well. Have a number of health problems but think its important to persevere. This is great challenge for a great cause, I was thinking about the forces and the great thing they can do for people and the nation. For some people the forces is a new home, theres a sense of belonging found and it can be heart wrenching when you lose someone, especially if theres a really strong bond. Our forces are so important protecting our nation and also the youth of today. They do so much for us but sometimes a tough fight. I hope the funds raised can help the brave veterans. It must be really difficult for these guys adjusting to civilian life after being in war. I send them something that I dont have words for.March Seems So Far Away
Really excited to be taking part in this challenge, finding sponsors really difficult but maybe a miracle will happen. Challenging myself to do 20 miles inMarch, I still need to work out a walking route but going out soon for my walk and scouting the ideal route. Rosyth is where Im from, its known as the Garden City, it has a naval base and Im pretty sure there are people here who have experienced the mental issues of being a veteran. I dont know what it is to be a veteran but I know how important it is for these people who put their life's and sacrifice their freedom for others to have support when in the worst situation due to the tolls of combat. It can be devastating for their families and family is really important and the toll of war can make their family feel like theyv'e lost them. Which is really sad. So raising money and even fundraisers if can do them is so important, even despite the cost of living crisis. Collective effort is important.
Support my March in March
This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
