1 Week To Go!

So with a week to go final prep for my 50km challenge has been disrupted by a couple of niggling injuries which have prevented me from running over the last few weeks. In order to complete the challenge I’ve decided to opt to walk it rather than defer it to next year so have been out walking this week to get some kilometres in my legs. This concluded with a 20km walk around Rutland Water and fortunately everything still seems to be working afterwards! Whilst I am disappointed not to be able to run next weekend I’ve been humbled by the support I’ve received and am keen to finish the challenge in aid of this wonderful charity. Per Ardua. Phil

Support my challenge

This year I will be taking on the 50km Thames Path Challenge to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

As a People Operations Officer in the RAF I have seen the growth in mental health issues amongst both serving and ex-serving personnel. Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

As a Combat Stress Community Volunteer I am proud to support their invaluable work and would be grateful for any support that you are able to provide. Thank you.
