Why I’m Taking On 10 Miles Every Week in March for Combat Stress 🇬🇧
In March, I’ll be completing 10 miles every week in support of Combat Stress.
Ten miles isn’t an extreme physical challenge. For me, that’s not the point.
The real challenge for many veterans begins long after service ends. PTSD, anxiety, depression and trauma don’t disappear when the uniform comes off. For some, that battle can last years even decades.
As a veteran, I understand the pressures that service life brings and the impact it can have. I’ve seen first-hand how important it is that support exists and that it’s accessible when someone finally decides to reach out.
Combat Stress provides specialist treatment and support to former servicemen and women across the UK. They deal with the hidden wounds of war the injuries you can’t always see.
Throughout March, I’ll be completing 10 miles every week — sometimes in one go, sometimes spread across a few days — fitting it around work and family life. I’ll also be going live on Facebook during some of the miles to talk openly about why this matters and to help raise awareness.
This fundraiser isn’t about how fast I run or how far I can go.
It’s about:
- Raising awareness of veteran mental health
- Encouraging conversations
- Making sure no veteran feels alone
- Raising vital funds for specialist support
If you’re able to donate, no matter the amount, it genuinely makes a difference.
And if you can’t donate, sharing this page helps more than you know.
We don’t leave people behind.
Thank you for your support.

Support my March in March
This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
