364 Days Later: Derbyshire Dales 15K for Combat Stress
364 days ago I underwent ankle reconstruction surgery. At the time, running 15 kilometres over Derbyshire trails seemed a fairly optimistic idea.
Over the last year, rehabilitation has gradually turned "hopefully one day" into "worth a go".
So on 13th September I'll be taking on the Derbyshire Dales 15K Trail Run to mark the first anniversary of surgery and see what the last year's recovery and training have amounted to.
The important part, however, is the cause. The event supports Combat Stress, the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health, helping former servicemen and women access life-changing treatment and support.
If you'd like to contribute, any donation, large or small, would be greatly appreciated.
Hopefully the ankle agrees with the plan. Thank you for your support.
