The Road To Nowhere

The Road To Nowhere

We are a team of four serving members of the U.K armed forces that wish to raise awareness and funding for mental health in the serving and veteran community. This is something that is close to our hearts as we have all had close friends that have been effected by mental health problems.

The challenge we have set ourselves is not an easy one and for a good reason. We have set ourselves the challenge of covering the perimeter of the U.K TWICE! on a static bike (Wattbike) that is roughly 14000 Miles!

Why a Static Bike(Wattbike)? - Well this is to signify the challenge that mental health brings to everyone suffering from it. The act of moving and going through the motions but not really going anywhere. There are many people that do this everyday but without help will not get to the end of their mental health journey.

Why the perimeter of the UK? - This is to show that mental health effects the whole of the u.k especially within the serving and veteran community. With the team being comprised of serving members of the armed forces from all over the u.k shows that no matter where the serving and veteran community is located there is help available.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support.
