Running the yellow brick road!!!
In 2019, the yellow brick road I had been blindly following my whole life crumbled when I was medically discharged from the RAF. Life started to fall apart very quickly and eventually my PTSD caught up with me and I tried to end my life. Combat stress have been there for me while I rebuilt my life, but most importantly they helped me believe in who I am again, without the uniform. I have the courage, brains and heart to lay my own yellow brick road from here, on my journey through life, wherever I wish to go. Running the marathon, will be 26 mile long 'yellow bricks' to help me refind the old 'running lover' that I used to be, before my mental health fell apart. I now have a stronger mind than ever, and my body is coming along for the ride :)Support my challenge
This year I will be taking on the London Marathon to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
Thank you so much for your support.
