Why in fundraising

Hey 😊
I'm marching 10 miles in March to help veterans and this is why......
I am very lucky to be here. Both of my grandfathers went away to war and both came back. Well physically anyway.
My grandfathers both served in various campaigns over the whole world during WW2, spending years away from family and getting injured (physically and mentally). My army grandfather, Rifleman G.A Davies, was in the Africa, Italy, Burma (now Myanmar) and Korea campaigns, and my navy grandfather, Able Bodied Seaman Hopton, did the north Atlantic convoy along with convoys to South America, Aisa, Australia and beyond.
There was no help for my grandparents when they finished service and I grew up seeing the impacts of what we now call PTSD in both of them. Army grandad drank a bottle of whiskey every day just to sleep through the dreams at night but it didn't always help and my Navy grandfather never stepped foot on a seafaring vessel of any kind after he came back home.
When I raise my target of £150, those funds will go to help veterans get the help my grandfather's needed and deserved but never got.
Thanks for reading ✌🏻

Support my March in March

This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
