Challenge completed!

Along with my all-in-one walking companion/personal medic/son -Will (5 Rifles), we completed the Three Peaks walk in comfortably less than our target time of 8 1/2 hours. Although I didn't intend to cast a wide net for sponsors, thanks to Will's PR publicity campaign through social media, lots more family and friends came up with money. My grateful thanks to all those fantastically generous supporters who have donated to a great charity who step up to help veterans in need. The walking was the easy part.

This year I will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
