30 Miles for Those Who Served: Why I’m Marching for Veterans’ Mental Health
This March I’m taking part in a fundraising march for Combat Stress, a charity that supports the mental health of veterans.
The challenge is to complete 10 miles throughout March, but I’ve decided to push myself further and complete 30 miles, 15 miles running and 15 miles weighted.
Although my own time connected to the military was short-lived and I never made it fully into service, I spent two years involved with the military community. I also have family members who have served and are still serving, and I’ve seen how deeply service can affect people both during and long after their time in uniform.
The realities that many service personnel experience are things most of the public will never truly understand. Because of that, I hold a deep respect for those who dedicate themselves to serving their country, and for the sacrifices that come with it.
This challenge is a small way for me to show that respect and contribute to a cause that truly matters, supporting veterans’ mental health and helping those who may be struggling in silence.
Any support, shares, or donations mean a lot. Thank you.
Support my March in March
This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
