Tough Mudder for Combat Stress

In April 2024 I will be taking on the Tough Mudder 10km in order to raise money for Combat Stress, a charity which provides veterans and their families with specialist treatment and support for complex mental health needs as a result of service within the forces. 

Having witnessed the effects of combat on the mental health of my close family, this charity is particularly important to me. Veterans take, on average, 14 years to seek support for mental health issues, and as such, I hope that our fundraising will help to raise further awareness of the work this charity is doing.

As part of a team of 3 officer cadets from Edinburgh Officer Training Corps we are looking to raise a collective £1000. Over the next few months we will be training hard to take on this grueling course, including tear gas, electrocution and ice pits, at the beginning of April.
