29kg. 10 miles a week. Every week.
I’m setting myself a brutal challenge: running/tabbing 10 miles a week with 29kg on my back—a heavy load (4.57stone infact!) but nothing compared to the weight of sacrifice carried by the 457 British Forces personnel who lost their lives in Afghanistan.
As a veteran, this challenge is personal. I haven’t run in years, and with my 12+ hour shifts, fitting this in won’t be easy. But pain, exhaustion, and hardship are temporary—remembering their sacrifice is forever.
I’m doing this to honor their memory and raise funds for those who served. Every donation, big or small, makes a real difference.
If you respect their sacrifice, please support this challenge. Let’s make sure they are never forgotten.

Setting myself the challenge to run/tab 10 miles a week, with 29kg on my back (29kg is more or less 4.57 stone, in honour of the 457 British Forces personnel who lost thier lives in the Afghanistan conflict, of which i am a veteran)
I will be working around my 4 on, 4 off, 12+ hour shifts so updates are likely to be more on the 4 off
