I am raising vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Me and Emily will be attacking the National 3 Peaks Challenge next month. Emily is aware that I will be pushing for both of us to complete this not just in the 24 hour period but the fastest time we possibly can. We were originally just taking this as a challenge for us both but have now realised this is a good opportunity to raise some money too.
Having served in the Royal Marines for 8 years and a Veteran myself, we have decided to raise money for Combat Stress.
Combat Stress are the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health.
For over a century, they’ve helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma-related mental health problems such as anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
They’re on a mission to raise awareness that invisible injuries can be just as hard to cope with as physical ones. So when a veteran is having a tough time, they’re there to help them tackle the past and take on the future
