Preparation training with the Welsh 3000s challenge

Who would have thought we’d have 30C temperatures and zero breeze in North Wales?! After setting off before 4am under darkness, head torches lighting the way, it wasn’t long before the sun came up with different plans and the event was ultimately stopped early due to heat safety concerns. I still got 6 hours of experience and training though so well on track for the big challenge in September!

Training update - Welsh 3000s prep…..

So I successfully completed my preparation day for the 24hr Welsh 3000s challenge (as a reminder that’s my warm-up to the Everest challenge!). Managed to get it done without falling off anything or getting injured so all good!

Here we go!

Commitment made and the word is out - no going back! Most who know me will know I enjoy a challenge and I couldn’t resist this one when it found it’s way into my social media feed - although I enjoy the training anyway I’ll be attempting the 24hr Welsh 3000s challenge in July to help keep the motivation going.
