Support my D-Day Challenge

In honour of our forefathers as well as current servicemen who have bravely fought to protect our way of life, I will be taking on the D-Day Challenge to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

The D-Day 44 Challenge commemorates the 1944 Allied invasion of occupied France. I will be heading to Normandy, to race across its picturesque beaches, finishing at the historic Pegasus Bridge on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, 6 June 2024.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on D-Day Challenge to help take vital strides towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Southampton Marathon!

Tuesday 16th Apr
Completed the Southampton Marathon last week in incredibly windy conditions. Four times across the Itchen Bridge was enough for me to never want to see it again! I treated it as a training run for D-Day and was very pleased to finish in in 4hrs 4mins. A week off to rest and now back into training for the main event!

Back into action

Wednesday 21st Feb
After a difficult 6 weeks with a calf injury I'm back into training and slowly getting the distances back up. 

Busy preparing for 2 events in the next two months. First is a 24hr running relay at work on 7-8 March. Plans are coming along nicely and we're hoping to raise a good amount. 

Then it's head down and training for Southampton marathon. Given the injury, I'm way behind schedule but hopeful of being able to complete the distance as a good training run for June!

Upcoming Events

Thursday 7th Sep
Over the next 10 months I'm entering various events to raise money for Combat Stress. It's going to take a lot of effort and training and the support of your donations will help the motivation!

I'm starting with the Amsterdam Half Marathon in Oct, then then Gosport Half in Nov. 

Then the real training starts for the main event next year. Jun 6, D-Day the 80th Anniversary. Myself and the team will be running 44 miles across Normandy, finishing at Pegasus Bridge. 

Running to raise vital funds for Combat Stress and honouring those that sacrificed their lives.
