I am raising vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Handsworth Grammar School Old Boys Football Club has been completing Coast2Coast (ish!) cycling challenges for the last 9 years, raising money for various charities along the way. Jim McAvan (Royal Welsh Fusiliers veteran) was a founding member of the team and sadly passed away this May, aged only 44.  He was looking forward to our historic 10th challenge, recreating our first ride all those years ago.  Instead we are riding in his honour and raising funds for Combat Stress, the charity he held so close to his heart.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support.
