This March, I’ll be walking through Paris — my favourite city — with my dad, to raise money for a charity that means a lot to us both: Combat Stress.

Being able to travel, explore, and enjoy places like Paris is something we often take for granted. The reality is that the freedoms we enjoy — including the freedom to walk its streets together — exist because of the sacrifices made by the armed services and veterans who have served our country.

Why this charity matters to me

When people think about the armed forces, they often focus on physical injuries. But many veterans live with invisible injuries — such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression — long after they’ve left service.

Combat Stress supports veterans who are struggling with the mental impact of their service. They provide care, understanding, and specialist treatment for people who have given so much, often without asking for anything in return.

What Combat Stress does

Combat Stress provides specialist mental health support tailored specifically to veterans, including:
A 24/7 mental health helpline for veterans in need of immediate support
Specialist therapy for PTSD and trauma-related conditions
Residential and community-based treatment programmes
Long-term support, recognising that recovery takes time
Support for families, who are often affected too

Their work helps veterans rebuild confidence, stability, and hope for the future.

Why we’re walking together

Walking through Paris with my dad makes this challenge even more meaningful. Paris is a city I love, and doing something I enjoy while supporting a cause that really matters feels like the right way to give something back.

This walk is our small way of recognising the sacrifices made by those in the armed services — sacrifices that allow us the freedom to live, travel, and create memories together.

How you can support us

If you’re able to donate or share this page, you’ll be helping Combat Stress continue their vital work supporting veterans’ mental health.
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference
Sharing this page helps raise awareness
Open conversations about mental health help reduce stigma

Thank you so much for supporting me, my dad, and — most importantly — the veterans whose service gives us the freedom to do things like this walk in Paris.

Support my March in March

This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
