Beat the Sun Details

The details of the trip are BEAT THE SUN .
This is a charity ride to raise money for COMBAT STRESS for our unsung hero's in our armed forces..come and join our own intrepid  explorers Calvin Wright (ex northerner) and Lee Clarke  (ex service man) and Keith Wall (ex sex god) on
Sunday 21st June 2026.

This is the plan, starting in Margate at the Lido car park to watch the sun rise and then setting off to beat the sun set at Lands End ...which gives you about 16 hours to cover  just shy of 400 miles , which gives and average speed of 23mph ..  EASY ...
then deduct maybe 4 hours for food, fuel and numb bum stops and mechanical issues, this gives you an average speed of around 31mph. Yup, still quite do-able. ..
Now chuck in loads of B roads, now the challenge is  REAL......
.

This will be a mega ride, for a mega cause..and I believe the longest one day event we've had on our silly little bikes ...

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support.
