March done

So that big day came and what a gorgeous day it was. 4 started at 10 am, it was a little chilly and overcast. 30 minutes in, the clouds disappeared and this beautiful yellow ball was looking down on us.
Walking along well maintained foot paths really helped with the wobbly knees.
About 3/4’s of the way, aches and pains had started creeping in which forced us to cut some of distance off so as not to cripple anyone. Still we managed 7 miles and ended at one of my locals for a well deserved pint!🍺
A big thank you to those merry few, who walked with me in support. It’s not fun walking long distances when you are overweight but I’m very proud with what we achieved.
45 miles to go to reach 100 miles and 9 days to do it.
Please dig deep, down the back of the sofa and sponsor the loose change if that’s all you can spare.

Nearly half way

Bloody hell!! 45 miles done mainly walking around at work. One more 12 hour shift then a day off before the main event. Got a few people walking with me on Saturday for morale support and looking forward to it.
Please take a look at the great things that Combat stress do, every penny counts. Any money you can spare to sponsor me would be greatly appreciated. 😁

Nearly at 30 miles

Happy Friday all!!
If you’ve been keeping track, I’m almost 30 miles in to my 100 miles in March. My new job is keeping me active and more steps per day than I’ve been doing for the past couple of years.
Next week end is the planed time for my 10 mile march. Still undecided as to one or two days. Depends on the knees.
Still plenty of time to dig deep and sponsor me what ever you can spare and help out a worthy cause.

Distance update

Finally got around to syncing everything up and I now plan on doing at least 3 miles a day, plus a 10 mile march.

4th of March

Good morning all, so here we are on day 4 of March and it’s been a busy one.
As some will know, I moved house last week and started a new job on Monday.
I’m more active in this job so this is going to add me in my fitness journey and of course help prepare for my March, details still to follow on that.
I’m averaging about 5km a day now.
I still have no internet or real phone signal at my new house, which is a pain to keep this updated.

Support my March in March

This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
