My Cause
March 10th would’ve been my Grandpa’s 80th birthday but unfortunately he was called home 9 years ago.
Since Grandpa’s birthday falls during the March in March fundraiser, it feels right to commemorate the day with something big.
Last year my friend and I did a 6 mile hike in the beautiful Chee Dale, this year I will be hiking from Cambridge train station to RAF Lakenheath (finish line is Kim’s Bulgogi.. I have my priorities in check lol.)
It dawned on me that 2026 also marks 60 years since my Grandpa arrived to his first duty station, which was RAF Lakenheath, so this route feels fitting 🫶🏼
It’ll be a fun day, it’ll be a long day, but I know of a couple of angels who will keep us going (and the promise of crispy chilli chicken at the end of course.)

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
