Why am I doing March in March?

Hello!

My name is Alex and I’m a proud grand daughter of a US Air Force veteran. 
I have been looking for a fundraiser to do for a while for a Veterans’ Mental Health charity, so when I stumbled upon March in March it felt right as this is my Grandpa’s birth month. 
I didn’t know my Grandpa when he was Active Duty, but I do know he saw a lot of things no human should have to, which never left him. 
My target is to walk 20 miles (or more!) in his memory, in the month of March, to raise as much as I can in donations to this fundamental resource that my Grandpa should’ve had access to.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
