Charlotte hits 50

Charlotte Fell hit the big five-o (50) swims yesterday on New Years Eve. It's great to have made so much good progress as the winter weather will make it harder, and provide fewer opportunities to swim.  

A big push to the finish now.

1pm today and Charlotte completed swim nr 40 and Martin completed swim nr 36.

We were joined by Nikki (leader of Ballywalter Swimmers & Dippers) providing moral support.

Charlotte having completed her 35th Swim and powering ahead with the challenge. 

Whilst everyone else is struggling to make time and beat the cold, Charlotte has really got the bit between her teeth and is now well on the way to completing the challenge.

A big thank you to all our supporters and I know times are tough but please send what you can. No amount too small, even instead of that next coffee, all greatly appreciated .
I find this challenge a struggle as since suffering from Covid 4 times (that I know of), I have felt chronically tired most days and my bloods are being monitored for about the last 9 months as I have raised liver enzymes of unknown aetiology which probably explains the tiredness. Still unresolved at time of writing this.
The point I'd like to make is that I consider my struggles to be small potatoes compared to the mental health struggles of all of our brave guys and gals. How hard it must be to take that first step, then to stick with it trying to work through it. I feel supported and have a team around me. I want each of them to feel that too.
Let's show them we care, that each individual matters to us by offering our support.
