From Lossiemouth to Portsmouth: The 660-Mile Challenge. Moving Together for Veterans' Mental Health
Following on from the success of March in March and the fantastic way everyone got involved, we are delighted to launch our next fundraising challenge: The Great K+N Move-a-Thon.
This November, we will be taking on a virtual journey of 660 miles, travelling from Lossiemouth to Portsmouth via Aldergrove. Every mile our participants complete will help us move further along the route while raising valuable funds for Combat Stress, the UK's leading charity supporting veterans' mental health.
Whether you prefer to walk, run, cycle, ride, row, or swim, you can complete your miles however you like. We've made sure the challenge is as accessible and inclusive as possible, so you can get involved in a way that works for you.
To get started, register with Team North or Team South by clicking the links below. Once you have registered your account, you can then link your fitness app: Fitbit, Strava or MapMyFitness.
Now all you have to do is share your page with everyone you know and ask them to donate to your team. Then get moving for your physical and mental health, but most importantly - HAVE FUN!

ABOUT COMBAT STRESS
Combat Stress is the only UK military charity that is clinically regulated to provide specialist mental health treatment. Our evidence-based services are delivered by psychological professionals including psychologists, accredited psychotherapists, psychiatrists, and occupational therapists.
We provide specialist treatment and support for veterans with conditions resulting from military trauma, such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), while helping members of the wider Armed Forces community reach the right support for their needs.
We help veterans recover from service-related trauma. Your donations make it possible.
THE IMPACT OF YOUR SUPPORT
Many who serve carry traumatic memories long after coming home.
Andy, an Army veteran, bravely shares how his vehicle was blown up by a 40kg IED in Afghanistan, leaving him with devastating PTSD.
Now, following our specialist mental health treatment, he’s living his life again. Andy’s story shows that with the right support, veterans can recover and rebuild their lives.
Please note this film contains an explosion sound effect and describes the aftermath of a vehicle explosion in Afghanistan.

If you are a veteran and you need help
Our 24-hour Helpline provides confidential mental health advice.
It's open to all former servicemen and women, as well as their families, friends and carers.
Liz, RAF veteran - "I called the charity’s Helpline and there was a friendly voice at the end of the phone, making me feel like I wasn’t on the scrap heap. Someone cared – finally someone was giving a damn about me."
