FAQs
Will I recieve a Combat Stress running top?
Our charity place runners will recieve a Combat Stress running top when they have reached £150 of their fundraising target.
Own place runners will be sent a running top when they raise £75.
If you have not yet recieved yours then please contact challenges@combatstress.org.uk
When will I recieve my running number & race pack?
All runners will receive their race pack, including their running number, by 18th August.
Overseas participants will have to collect their packs from the information point.
Can I run in the same wave as my friend?
Waves are allocated due to the predicted finishing time that you provided.
If you want to run with a friend but have been issued different coloured run numbers, please follow the simple rule - runners can move further away from the start line but cannot move to a zone closer to the start line. There is no need to change the colour of your run number to move to a zone further away from the start.
Do I need to register on the day?
No, your event number has a timing chip in it meaning that you do not need to register.
Can I listen to music whilst I run?
Yes, but event organisers ask that your music is kept on a low volume so that oyu are aware f things happenign around you and so that you can hear any instructions marshals may give.
Where can I meet my family and friends?
Please arrange to meet family and friends at the meeting point near Gypsies Green Stadium (on the right-hand side as you walk from the finish line). Look for the A-Z banners and stand by the letter that corresponds to the first letter of your surname.
Will my friends and family be able to track me?
Yes, the Great Run app is a free app which allows live tracking on the event day.
You simply need to download the app, claim your profile and then share this with anyone you would like to see.
Please note that runner information is uploaded right up to the event date, so please do not worry if you are not showing as a participant and check again on event day.
Is there somewhere to leave my bag on the day?
Baggage buses for all waves will be located on Claremont Road. There will be 38 double decker buses all number and coloured according to your wave colour. Please fill in your baggage label (tear off from your run number) and secure it to your bag in advance. You'll need your run number to drop off and retrieve your bag. Please only use a coloured bus that matches your wave colour - and remember the number of the bus. All buses will be clearly signed according to colour and number.
