In November, Oldham Athletic FC hosted a special Remembrance Fixture to honor the sacrifices of the Armed Forces.
Regional Fundraiser Rosie Gibbons attended the event alongside long-time supporter Khumi Burton MBE and Andy Moore, a veteran storyteller who recently joined as a Combat Stress Community Volunteer.
After the match, Andy captivated an audience of 150 people, including the club's CEO and Armed Forces representatives, by sharing his powerful personal story. His heartfelt account earned a standing ovation from those present, highlighting the impact of his words.
The day has raised an impressive £800 so far, contributing to vital support for veterans.
