Race to Remember 2025

What an Incredible Day!

10 Nov 2025

What an unforgettable day! Race to Remember 2025 brought together over 150 passionate runners and walkers, setting off from start lines in Aldershot and Petersfield and journeying across the stunning South Downs before crossing the finish line beside the historic HMS Warrior in Portsmouth.

The conditions were perfect for reflection, remembrance, and personal challenge, cool yet glorious sunshine. Whether taking on the full 76km ultramarathon or the 36km route, every participant showed incredible determination and heart, pushing their limits to support  veterans' mental health.

A day full of heart, courage and remembrance

The event took place on Remembrance weekend, giving every step deeper meaning. So many runners and walkers took part in memory of loved ones and comrades, creating an atmosphere full of pride, emotion and camaraderie. Seeing participants cross the finish line at the historic Naval Dockyard in Portsmouth was truly moving, a reminder of why this challenge means so much.

"What an awesome event. A wee bit apprehensive to start with as this was my first ultra, but the staff and participants were amazing throughout. Definitely doing this again." - Si W

"An exceptional event supporting a great cause with great camaraderie. Excellent organisation and an iconic finish at HMS Warrior." - Ian J

"Great event and beautiful course. A must-do for any serious athlete! The course navigation was really well marked out and with an accurate GPX file provided. That said due to colour blindness I personally found the red flags hard to follow especially as to me they seemed to blend in with the background. Other than that an excellent event with amazing pitstop crews and volunteers. Would highly recommend this event." - Darren H

"A fantastically organised event which was super friendly and cheerful. Lots of support and encouragement and a wonderful route. Highly recommend and what a great cause to support" - Kris B

"Fantastic experience from start to finish with communication from sign up to start line being excellent. On a personal level as someone who suffers from PTSD bringing with it a number 'issues' these were taken care of by the team and Jo was outstanding at communicating these with the team and also with me, even calling the day before to make sure I was ready. The route was great, and I would advise a pair of either road shoes with a good grip or trail shoes with a bit of cushioning. The support team were also excellent and the aid stations, though I didn't use them, appeared to be very well stocked. I will definitely run it again." - Stu P
