I would like to thank all of my sponsors for their incredible generosity. I was overwhelmed by the support I received & by the amount of money I managed to raise.
It has been a remarkable few weeks & special mentions must be made to my carers (Susan & Kaz) & to Ken Crookes who have helped on both the technological side & motivational aspects of my challenge.
I achieved more than my set target of walking ten miles and over achieved on the amount of money I had hoped to raise. I am incredibly proud considering my age (94) and the weather challenges we occasionally faced. It was no mean feat but every step was worth it knowing I was walking for such a worthy cause.
Not that it matters much but it appears, I missed out on the individual fundraising fifth place position by £1. If I had realised before the end of March, I would have walked a few more steps.
