I am raising vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Four years ago today my father, Prof. Timothy Evans, died of brain cancer. He was a life-long passionate supporter of the armed forces and, alongside his work as a physician, he was extremely proud to be the honorary Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine to the Royal Army Medical Corps. He was also appointed to the board of trustees of Combat Stress - a charity that provides a range of services to veterans with complex mental health problems - and was fiercely committed to supporting the exceptional and impactful work that they do.
As a serving member of the Royal Navy I've come to appreciate more and more the vital role that Combat Stress plays as a support system for veterans in need. I feel privileged to be raising money, in memory of my dad, for a charity that is so close to my heart. I'm truly grateful for any of you who will support me.
For the event I will be conducting 24 circuits in 24 hours whilst my Ship HMS DIAMOND is at sea. That’s one 30 min circuit every hour on the hour to raise money for this great cause.

Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
