Royal Parks Half Marathon

Support my challenge

This year I will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support.

My Why

Wednesday 27th Oct
As some of you may know I struggled for many years with my mental health. In particular due to having PTSD. As an Army Medic I saw some sights I would rather forget but my mind wouldn't allow me to. I saw good men die, injured and took part in many crazy, dangerous situations that had me and my incredible 'brothers' scared for our lives. Unfortunately I couldn't save them all and this is something I struggled with for many years and still do now and then. I do however consider myself as one of the lucky ones. I got the treatment I needed and with the support of my amazing family and friends I came out of the other side. Donating to Combat Stress can help those who are struggling like I did. It can help them when their whole world feels like its falling apart. It can help someone see their worth. It can help people, who like me, thought the world would be better off without them, realise that that really isn't true. That it isn't their fault and that they did their best. If you can donate any amount then I  would be eternally grateful. If you can't because things are tight then I understand. Your support when I'm blowing out my backside will be equally amazing. Thank you ❤️
