RUNNING WITH MY DAD

My dad(also running for this charity) and I went for a run this morning and I think we smashed it. Even though we had to stop for 2 groups of horses and stop to fix my water bag twice as it  filled my bag with water. 7 minute km splits 17.75km total

MY GREAT GRANDFATHERS

Wilfred Edward Damper my grandfathers dad- He severed from 1936 to 1948 as a stoker during WW2. Sailing all round the world on HMS Cumberland. On numerous occasions the ship sunk while he was on board.

Griffith Lewis Evans my grandmothers dad- He joined the army fighting numerous battles where in later years moved over to the London Royal Fusiliers. He then moved over to the royal guards where he became a colour Sargent. He was awarded with the Wigan Award, and through his time gained 4 medals.

This run is for them and all the other military forces who have fought for this country and our safety. LEST WE FORGET.

I am trying to raise as much money as I can for this amazing charity. If you are in a position to donate it would be highly appreciated.

Support my Race to Remember

This year I will be taking part in Race to Remember to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

The reason I have decided to take part is because I have two great grandparents, who sadly are not here today, who fought and served in our military. My great grandad Wilfred who I never met served in the navy as a stoker during world war two. Its a shame we did not meet because I would have loved to hear his war  stories. Fortunately I managed to meet my other great grandad Griff , who passed a couple years ago, who served in the queens guards. I still remember seeing all his medals, it was priceless. So I believe they will be with me all the way supporting me every step of the way. I also want to give back to the people who fought for my freedom and make sure they are not alone.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on Race to Remember to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

I am trying to raise as much money as I can for this amazing charity. If you are in a position to donate it would be highly appreciated.

Thank you so much for your support.
