Final update before the main event!

With only 19 days before the PDC most of my training is complete, I will now be sticking to under 10 mile walks to give my legs a rest before the big day.  It’s a shame Summer hasn’t started yet, it would have been useful to get used to some walks in the heat but that’s the UK for you!  

I have to be honest and say I’m absolutely bricking it at the thought of walking/jogging continuously for 100k over the peaks but it’s for a great cause and also to prove to myself that if you put your mind to something you can do it! 

Times are hard but if you have a spare couple of quid it would really help this fantastic charity and would also ensure that I am accountable to get through the whole event 😂

I am raising vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on the 100km ultra challenge across the Peak District starting and ending at Bakewell Showground with a group of colleagues/friends. I anticipate this challenge to take around 24 hours, we will be setting off at 7am on Saturday 6th July and will continue through the night until the challenge is complete.

I'm looking forward to raising vital funds to support the amazing work Combat Stress carry out.
