Training

Our training sessions have included breaking the route down into 3 parts and taking them on individually. Using our spare time on days off to get out onto Dartmoor and experience the exposure and getting acquainted with the route. More importantly,  experiencing the fatigue on the legs from covering such uneven ground, at a fairly quick pace for prolonged periods of time. We're less than a week out now and it’s time to rest the legs and get ready to hit it on Saturday!!

Thanks for all the donations so far, it means a great deal. All of us on the team appreciate every penny you sponsor us.

Cheers

Lee

We are raising funds to support the vital work Combat Stress do in support of veterans suffering with with mental health issues

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

What is the "30 Miler ‘ansome" you ask?

Well myself, Lee Shaw (former Army), fellow veteran Owen Leist (former Royal Marine) and other members of the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners team, will take on the world renowned, Royal Marines 30 mile march! The last and most gruelling of the 4 commando tests Royal Marines recruits complete before being awarded their green berets. But we will not stop there, we will push on past the finish line ending up on the barbican landing stage in the heart of Plymouth, roughly 38 miles in total!

Bonus effort......we intend to complete the 30 miler section in the official time of 8 hrs

As a former patient of combat stress, what better way to pay them back for the help and support they have provided me.

Any donation you make is ensuring fellow veterans can get the support they need and will be very much appreciated.

Thank you so much for your support and please spread the word!

Wish us Luck
