Support our D-Day Challenge
Our son Kelsey served in the Royal Army Medical Corps and was deployed on a number of operations during his military service. On one of these occasions, he was deployed to Sierra Leone in 2014 (operation Gritrock) during the Ebola crisis as a medic, giving support and Medical services to the people of the country. As a result of his experiences he required the help of Combat Stress who have been supportive to his own mental health needs and continue to do so. As a family, we would like to complete a challenge and financially help Combat Stress, please support us, thank you.
100% of your donation will be going to Combat Stress, as we will be meeting all of the costs for travel, accommodation etc.
The D-Day 44 Challenge commemorates the 1944 Allied invasion of occupied France. I will be heading to Normandy, to race across its picturesque beaches, finishing at the historic Pegasus Bridge on the 80th anniversary of D-Day, 6 June 2024.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on D-Day Challenge to help take vital strides towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
Thank you so much for your support.
