Many of you know I started running on April 7th 2024 because of some health related news related to my heart, you are also aware that I was widowed 16 years ago when my beloved husband took his own life, undiagnosed PTSD was a contributory factor in this as was his severe head injury.
Adrian can't run anymore, but I now can. I got to spend 13 years with him, so I get to run 1 mile for every year we had. I have never run a half marathon, in fact the thought of it terrifies me, though not as much as the first day I woke up as a widow, this is my first half marathon and I am already training for it.
I will be running London Landmarks Half Marathon on April 6th 2025.

I will be taking on the London Landmarks Half Marathon to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and servicewomen deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
