I am raising vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Having served in the Royal Navy from 1988 to 2010, within the Fleet Air Arm, and later the Naval Welfare Service, with my final years working with casualty support as a Visiting Officer and Funeral Officer, I am acutely aware of the mental and emotional burdens many of my brothers and sisters of all three services carry even after they leave the service.
These unseen wounds often go unseen, unrecognised, untreated and too often dismissed and ignored. I’m deeply grateful for the work all Service Charities do to support both serving and vets, and would like to support Combat Stress through my modest effort, waddling my way around the Gosport Half Marathon on the 17.11.24.
Your support is appreciated. No matter how small a donation, it all adds up.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
Thank you so much for your support.
