Walking for Combat Stress – Pacific Crest Trail 2026
In 2026, I will take on one of the toughest long-distance walks in the world: hiking the entire Pacific Crest Trail from Mexico to Canada—over 2,650 miles on foot—through deserts, mountains, and wilderness.
This journey is about more than physical endurance. It’s about raising vital funds and awareness for Combat Stress, the UK’s leading charity supporting veterans struggling with mental health issues such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression.
Every mile walked represents the daily battles faced by former service personnel long after their uniform is hung up. Combat Stress provides life-changing clinical treatment, outreach, and support to those who have served our country—help that can mean the difference between despair and recovery.
The Pacific Crest Trail will test me mentally and physically: extreme heat, snow-covered passes, isolation, exhaustion, and months away from comfort. But these challenges are temporary. For many veterans, the impact of combat trauma can last a lifetime.
