I am raising vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Some years ago I was mis-diagnosed by a GP as suffering from PTSD. What the GP did though was to set the wheels in motion for me to spend a week getting treatment from Combat Stress.
It was during this week that I was correctly diagnosed with suffering from Long-term Depression. Combat Stress were then able to ensure that I had the tools and help to turn my life around and by doing this challenge I am hoping to repay them in some small way.
During this challenge I am looking to run from Montrose in the Scottish borders to the finish point on Holy Island, but as this is only accessible when the tide is out I need to drag by 60year old sorry carcass down to the crossing point before the tide starts coming in and I can't finish the race.
