Supporting Veterans' Mental Health: My Charity 10-Mile Ruck March
As a society, we often hear about the sacrifices our veterans make in service to our country. But when they return home, the challenges they face don't always end with their military duty. Many veterans struggle with mental health issues, including PTSD, depression, and anxiety. That’s why I’ve decided to take part in a charity 10-mile ruck march to raise funds and awareness for veterans’ mental health.
What’s a Ruck you say?
A ruck march is a military-style hike where participants carry weighted backpacks over a set distance. It's a physically demanding challenge that simulates the kind of load soldiers carry in the field.
The Impact of Our Effort
The funds raised during this event will go directly toward supporting veterans’ mental health programs, ensuring that they have access to the services and support they deserve. Whether it's counseling, peer support, or treatment programs, your donations can help make a real difference.
Even if you’re unable to join me for the ruck, there are other ways you can contribute.
How You Can Get Involved
If you're interested in joining me, you can sign up for the march, or if you’d prefer to support from a distance, donations are always welcome. Every little bit helps, and together we can make an incredible impact. Even if you can’t participate directly, spreading the word and raising awareness among your network is a huge part of the effort.
Veterans have given so much to our country. It’s time we give back and ensure they’re not fighting their battles alone. Let’s walk this 10 miles together—physically and in spirit—and make a difference in the lives of those who’ve sacrificed for u
Support my March in March
This year I will be taking on March in March to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
I’m taking on March in March to help take vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.
Thank you so much for your support and together we march!
