Heartfelt Thank you

To all my donors please accept a very sincere and heartfelt thank you for your generosity and donations.

Snowdon!

Walked up the Watkins Pass and ran, walked, hop skip and jumped down the Llanberris Path!

Brecon Beacons 29 miler 26 Aug 24

Dan and I headed up/down to Brecon to recce his 100miler ultra race route!
Great day, great company but hell this place is so unforgiving! Up and down followed by more ups and down!

Reminder to self!

There is no easy way out!

There is no shortcut!

Have the end in your sights NOW!

Phase One training review!

Last Sunday saw me take part in my first preparatory  22km trail race which comprised of over 1000ft of elevation with terrain comprising of tarmac, tricky technical ascending and descending hill paths, rocky sandy trail paths and an absolute pig of a 4mile uphill forest trail path. The weather was horrible as in rain and fog!
This race was both physically and mentally taxing but served as good practice for phase one of the Race to Remember preparation.
Phase two starts tomorrow and ends on the 14 Oct when I will be taking part in the Ladybower 52km trail race. This race will be a full dress rehearsal for my 76km event which will be taking place a month later.
My fundraising is ticking along slowly and I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to those who have donated thus far.

Tittesworth 22k

I finished it! Not my best time but it’s done.
I was on the verge of chucking the towel in and not starting! My mind was not playing nicely.
This next week is going to be Rest/Prep/Plan  for Ladybower 52k in Oct 2024.
Heartfelt thank you for my supporting crew!

Rehearsal for the RTR

Current thoughts and feelings….

Feck it! Lets get this over and done with!

Stay focused and more importantly watch where you put your trotters! Its a blady mud bath and slippery when wet!

Halfway Point

To mark the halfway point of my training programme I decided  with a fellow Veteran it would be a great idea to have a go at the Test Way Walk which is 44miles long challenge through beautiful countryside from Inkpen to Toton.
So at 0550hrs on the 19 June 2024, we began our walk! We were blessed with sunshine and just the right amount wind.
The trail took us through magnificent woodlands, across ripe ready to be harvested fields of wheat and barley and countryside that provided us with spectacular views.
Sadly and very reluctantly due to injuries we ended our challenge at the 30mile point!
Averaging 3miles per hour we covered the distance in just over 10hours!
Till next time… 🍻

Support my Race to Remember

On the 09 November 2024, I will be taking part in the Combat Stress Race to Remember event which starts in Aldershot, home of the British Army and ends 76km or 47miles in Portsmouth Harbour, home of the British Navy.
As a Veteran diagnosed with Complex PTSD, I can vouch first hand that I have not only benefited from their care but my quality of life has significantly improved and my children have some of their Dad back. Because of my experience I want to help Veterans and their families.
In order for me to accomplish this I have pledged to raise £1000 so that Combat Stress can continue providing their life-changing and often life saving vital 24/7 support.

If you would like to support me please click on the link and any donation given will be greatly appreciated and your donation will make a direct impact to peoples lives and help those who really need it.

Thank you
