Injury...
A few weeks ago, I injured my knee during a long run. It was more serious than I first thought, and I’ve since had x-rays to assess the damage. I’m now waiting for the results, but thankfully, my physio is confident that with the right rehab, I’ll be able to run again.
I’ve already chosen a race at the end of March 2026 as my comeback goal. It’s ambitious, but I believe it’s achievable if I start my recovery soon and stay consistent.
To everyone who has donated and supported me, thank you. I promise I won't let you down!
£375 down...£1,125 to go...

The photo attached to this post is me running along the coastal path between Porthleven and Praa Sands in the land of my forebears- Kernow!
Less than two months to go...
Don't worry- despite what my dashboard is saying, I have been putting the miles in, albeit slowly and with immense effort. Training has not been as easy as it was last year. Last year, I had time on my side, but this year is proving difficult with work and family life. Ultimately, I've come to the conclusion that the time I achieve on the day doesn't matter, I just want to finish and justify the donations I have received for such an important charity.I am raising vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
Once again, I’ll be putting my best Hoka forward along a trail that I love, in support of a cause that matters deeply to me. I’m proud to be raising awareness and funds for Combat Stress, the UK’s leading charity for veterans’ mental health.
For over a century, Combat Stress has helped former servicemen and women deal with trauma, anxiety, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide life-changing support to veterans from every service and every conflict.
This charity fights on behalf of the many brave men and women who continue to face battles long after their service has ended; individuals who have too often been neglected by the very institutions they served. With your help, Combat Stress can continue its critical work, helping veterans rebuild their lives and create brighter futures for themselves and their families.
If you’re able to spare a donation towards this vital cause, it would be so deeply appreciated.
Thank you so much for your support.
