I am raising vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.
And now for something completely different….. Having completed many running challenges in support of Combat Stress, I have teamed up with the amazing Roy Palmer (Chelsea Pensioner) to take on a challenge that truly terrifies me.
I will literally hit new heights as I take to the skies at over 100mph, strapped to the wings of a Boeing Stearman built in 1942 and initially used for pilot training during the 2nd World War. It seemed like a good idea at the time, until I remembered that I genuinely hate rollercoasters (I’ve never been on one) or anything similarly unnatural. However, on the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII the “experience” is to raise awareness and funds for Combat Stress the UK's leading veterans' mental health charity, who provide clinical treatment and support for veterans from the British Armed Forces, focusing on those with complex mental health issues resulting from their experiences during military service.
Note to self: I should have stuck to running
To infinity and beyond
