Royal Parks Half Marathon 2026

Why I'm running the London Parks half marathon for Combat Stress

I've signed up to run the London parks half marathon to raise money for combat stress, a charity that means so much to me and my family. For many people, the effects of military service doesn't end when veterans leave the armed forces. The impact of trauma, anxiety, depression and PTSD can continue long after service has ended, affecting not only veterans but also their families who stand beside them every day. Combat stress has provided invaluable support to my husband and our family during some difficult times. Their specialist services, understanding and dedication has helped us navigate challenges and given us hope, practical support and reassurance when we needed it. This is why I have chosen to take on the challenge of the London parks half marathon. Every mile I run is a way of saying thank you and helping combat stress continue their life changing work for veterans and their loved ones. If you are able to donate, no matter how big or small, I would be incredibly grateful. Together we can help ensure that no veteran has to fight their battles alone ❤️💕

Support my challenge

This year I will be taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon to raise vital funds for life-changing mental health treatment for veterans.

Combat Stress is the UK's leading charity for veterans' mental health. For over a century, they've helped former servicemen and women deal with issues like trauma, anxiety, depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Today, they provide support to veterans from every service and every conflict.

I’m taking on vital steps towards ensuring veterans can get the support they need.

Thank you so much for your support.
