What time does the London Landmarks start?
Runners will head off in waves - the first will go around 9.20am and the last around 10.50am. Runners will be advised of their wave by the event organisers closer to race day.
Where is the start and finish line?
The start line is on Pall Mall and the finish line is on Whitehall.
Is there a bag drop?
There will be multiple bag drops. More details will be released by the event organisers nearer to event day.
What time will the race start and what time should I arrive?
Waves will start at approximately 9.20am and finish at 10.50am. Every runner will be allocated a starting wave and start time closer to race day. It is recommended to arrive at least 1 hour before your start time.
Is there a cut off time?
If you're still running after 4 hours, the event cyclists will ask you to move to the pavement but will still support you in your journey to the finish. There are also 3 sections on route where you can divert to ensure you stay within the 4-hour windown and enjoy the best event experience. You won't miss out on any drinks stations if you do take the diversions. The finish will remain open until the last runner crosses the line and every finisher will receive a medal.
How will my time be recorded?
Your time will be recorded by UHF Chip technology. Your finish time will be texted to you after crossing the finish line and will be available on the London Landmarks Half Marathon website.
Can I use headphones during the LLHM?
The event organisers strongly discourage the use of equipment that acts as an impediment to hearing or concentration when competing. This includes, but is not limited to, mobile phones, personal stereos and MP3 players. There will be fantastic entertainment along the route that you won't want to miss. The event organisers will not be responsible for accidents resulting from taking part with personal equipment, including headphones.
Will there be pacers?
There will be pacers across a variety of average speeds in some of the waves. The pacers will be there as a guide. If you would like to run to a specific time, it is strongly advised that you practice your pacing during training to ensure you are ready to manage your own timings on race day.
When will I receive my race pack?
The LLHM team will post race packs, including your race number, 2-3 weeks before race day. Approximately 3 weeks before race day you will receive your Race Day Guide via email, this will include all the essential information you need about the day. In mid-March you will also receive an email with your starting wave, wave time and arrival guide.
Can I run with friends?
Runners are able to drop back to a later wave on race day to run with friends, but are not able to move forward a wave. It's really important that runners use the bag drop they are allocated as the space has been calculated to safely store everyone's bags. Although estimated finish times help to allocate starting waves, you are able to run completely at your own pace on race day.
What is the course elevation and profile?
The London Landmarks route is flat and fast. The route elevation for the 2023 route has not yet been measured. Please use the 2022 course elevation for guidance, as it is not expected to change significantly.
